Typography
Typographic composition featuring Giabattista Bodoni. This is a very interesting juxtaposition of typographic elements. The layout is impeccable. There is asymmetrical balance, and a nicely planned use of negative space. The arrangement is visaully pleasing. Ultimate contrast is achieved using black and white and the use of extreme scale differentials is very successful. Everything about this composition is screamin great design, especially the T's!

I like this image because the background image relates to the text. There is no confusion that can possibly happen, it is also very beautiful with the small hints of color.

I think this is a good use for circles. Unfortunately we don't have this much space on a front but maybe not having such a huge main art and letting the white space and headline be the eye catching moments.
Master Forger Challenge 3: Negative Space
Rita- I like the idea of the negative space technique. It would give a uniqueness to the yearbook if we did that to the title.

Story Ideas: We haven't done stories about the refs for different sports in a while if not ever. I think this would be a cool spin on our sports stories.

3. I think all of these would make really good pages for a feature story. I like the big bold words and the large cut out pictures of the people.
Beautiful headline type treatment. (Martha Stewart Living, March 2012)

I like the use of contrast the designer used alternating a white and black background between pages

I like that "HARDTIMES" draws your from left to right, the same way that you read. I do think it is kind of bland because the typeface used for "HARDTIMES" is large dark and bold with not anything really special about it aside from the directions and sizing. To make it more interesting, I think the main text should be adjusted in color or typeface so it stands out more
