This listing is for a richly saturated, scrap-buster string quilt featuring an array of premium cotton fabrics from such manufacturers as Moda, Free Spirit, and Michael Miller, among others. Its bright collection of odds-and-ends fabrics will add a touch of cheer to any space, whether it be a light, airy beach house or a dark, cozy cabin. All fabrics in this vibrant, one-of-a-kind beauty are new, simply left over from a number of my previous quilting projects. Between the machine-pieced quilt top and the Amy Butler backing is a layer of Warm and Natural cotton batting to provide warmth and a lovely drape. The quilt has been longarm quilted with a softly-curving pinwheel pattern in a light aqua thread. Binding was machine sewn to the front and hand sewn to the back in coordinating thread. The quilt measures 63 inches x 85 inches, making it an appropriate size for a standard twin bed, depending on the depth of the mattress (it might not be sufficient for a deep/pillow top mattress). It would also be lovely draped over the end of a bed or on the back of a sofa. I recommend measuring and marking the size of the quilt on a large, flat surface just to be certain you're not surprised by the dimensions once the quilt is in your possession. Wash the quilt on the gentle cycle in cold water, preferably in a washing machine without an agitator. I find that agitators put quilts through an unnecessary beating. The gentler the process, the longer the life of every quilt. Line dry or tumble dry on a low heat setting.
