The oldest subway cars seeing passenger use in New York are the R32s, built by the Budd Co in 1964. They dominate the C line and, as can be seen from the guy at the front window, have a rail enthusiast-friendly layout. Although many have been taken out of service, those which remain are expected to do so for some time yet thanks to their stainless steel construction. This train is led by car 3783, seen at Canal Street bound for Brooklyn on 10th March 2011.
