The erstwhile Hyderabad State had many firsts to its credit as far as development and planning were concerned. The state had its own rail,road and air services to cater to the needs of its population.

Hyderabad State Police :: The city police traces its origins to 1847 under Hyderabad State. During Nizam period the commissioner of police was known as " Kotwal ". Nawab Shamsher Jung Bahadur was first police minister of Hyderabad.

The famous double-decker buses, No 7 from Secunderabad to Afzalganj. Fare 20 or 25 paisa. RTC buses have number plates that end with ‘’Z’’. Interesting story for this. The “Z” in the number plates stands for Zahra Begum, mother of the last ruler of the erstwhile Hyderabad State, Mir Osman Ali Khan, Nizam VII. In June of 1932 the Nizam's Road Transport was established.

We may see Mint across lake and also Naubat Pahad without Birla Temple. Lake without Budha statue !
