I cut these tribal-inspired shapes out of a sheet of brass, file the edges smooth and then give them a lightly hammered texture. I then solder inverted V shapes made from sterling silver wire to their tops and suspend them from your choice of simple, handmade sterling silver ear wires (A) or sterling silver lever back style (B). When I'm done, I oxidize them and give them an ombre finish that is darker at the top and fading to bare golden brass at the bottom. Then I polish them to glowing luster that really highlights their organic texture. The cool silver and warm brass tones will complement all of your outfits.
