Wall light No.39 Ovals by a-LEX is all about the strength of repetition. Designer Alex sought a way to connect the same shape to something new. A design that emits an apparent simplicity, but also immediately raises the question: "How is it made?". The starting point for this fascinating lamp was material and technique. These are inextricably linked to the final design; not a carrier of the form but an essential part of the whole. A total of 40 ovals together form No.39 Ovals. By clever use of semi-wood connections and MDF with laser technology, this lamp maintains itself. No.39 Ovals is also available as pendant lamp. After his mechanical engineering studies, Alex Groot Jebbink graduated in 2003 as interior designer and furniture designer. After which he graduated in 2012 from Master of Interior Architecture at the Utrecht University of Applied Sciences. His designs are recognizable by the use of fair materials with their own character and clear, calm shapes. The wonder is in the apparent simplicity.
