Purple Victorian style tulip lamp shade. Two shades of purple with fringe and beads, handmade tassels, french trim, silk rosettes and metallic trim. Hand dyed, handmade by Georgette Conrad. Lamp shade is on a brass tulip lamp.

A classic Victorian tulip shade . This shade style started out in the kerosene era , this one is a recreation of a large antique oversized floor lampshade I have in my collection. The shade has a lining of red silk with pleated purple chiffon over top. Panels of metallic French gold lace accent the corner panels , trimmed with antique metallic trim, with Chinese chainet fringe dyed to match the tones of the shade.

Fun fact: all of the shades in the “Crayon” series are made from recycled frames. eBay and thrift stores are amzing places to look when looking for an unusual shade shape.
