You just need to take a few extra steps to prep it so it’s solid enough to accept resin.   Inexpensive canvas frames are usually flimsy. As an option, you can first try tightening or stiffening the fibres with GAC400 before adding your resin to the back. (Allow to dry first)  The most important part is to pour in enough resin so that it touches the wood part of the canvas frame.
