I’ve been thinking about mochi brownies for a while now. Mochi. Brownies. YUM.There’s a spot on the Big Island (Hawai‘i Island) called Nori’s Samin & Snacks that is known for it’s chocolate mochi cake. It’s a cross between a cake and brownie and, well, mochi.

Talk about the perfect combination! You can't go wrong with either Japanese mochi or brownies. Put them together and you've got yourself something pretty amazing. The mochi adds a soft pillowy chew which also settles the sweetness from the chocolate.

These mochi brownies are rich, fudgy, chocolatey with a chewy and spongy texture. They're so addicting to eat, and reminds us of the Hawaii butter mochi. We love ooey, goey brownies, and these checks all the boxes.
