Hannah Briggs on Instagram: "HOW WE BUILT IN ALCOVE UNITS ✨💞 What do you think?! 👇🏻 Obsessed with how these turned out one year on! 🤭 We still want to add LED lighting on the shelves to make it more into a media wall but in pretty pleased with it! We basically bought two IKEA sideboards from the IDANAS range, along with some MDF board and furniture board that we had cut down at B&Q for an easier fit! We then sanded, primed and painted 🎨 before nail gunning in. Little hack 💡 take a piece of the sideboard with you such as the cupboard door, and get B&Q to paint match it for you. Trust me, it’s worth doing!! Beth Wilson on Instagram: "FITTED UNIT IKEA HACK 🚪 our fitted unit hack is finally finished! we wanted built in units in our lounge but didn’t fancy paying the expensive price tag that is associated with it, so decided to give it a go ourselves using @ikeauk units and doors, some wood and MDF. we used the PLATSA units and got some extendable legs from @bandq_uk to raise the unit high enough off the ground. we also cut some of the unit out to make sure we can still reach the plugs at the back of the wall. once it was in place, we cut wood and mdf to size to box the units in and give it the ‘fitted’ look. we used mdf sheet for the top of the unit, and then painted and primed it all to finish it in white ✨ we were kindly gifted the beautiful Piccadilly Knurled Cupboard Knobs from @frela Built In Tv Unit Ikea Hack, Built In Storage Wall Ikea, Ikea Built In Cupboards, Ikea Hack Shelves Wall, Built In Mdf Shelves, Ikea Storage Ideas Wall Units, Ikea Cupboards Living Room, Shelves In Cupboard, Make Storage Ideas

SOPHIE ~ 1920’s Renovation ~ IKEA Hacks ~ Pastel Interiors on Instagram: "The alcove storage in our living room is without doubt my most controversial IKEA hack of all time, and still one of my favourites! 😅 When I first shared our off-the-shelf solution to bespoke built-ins, it was met with A LOT of confusion over why we hadn’t just had a joiner make the cupboards from scratch 🤔 Aside from the fact that using IKEA units saved us thousands of pounds, they also meant we could have the storage fitted and finished within a month of moving in to the house, rather than waiting months for a joiner to fit in building them for us.
