Asta Darling on Instagram: "FINALLY FINISHED my Anastasia Coronation gown! I used a combination of the animated version vs extant museum examples of court gowns to create this costume. I was aiming for a historically inspired version rooted in fantasy. I was SO EXCITED to find this Christmas ribbon in December at Walymart and cut it up to use for the bodice so it would match the trim. I was going to embroider the bodice but decided to work smarter not harder. I embroidered all of the medallions using my @bernetteusa embroidery machine! My fabrics are a combination of @finefabrics_usa and @gailkfabrics both from Atlanta. I have a few things I need to do before I can wear this to @dragoncon but gosh I am just over the moon with her. It truly was a labor of love.
