It's time to showcase our week with Doodle Bugs Teaching's 'Five for Friday' weekly linky. We continued our Nursery Rhyme theme. This week we focused on Hey Diddle Diddle, Baa Baa Black Sheep, Humpty Dumpty, and Jack and Jill. For our Humpty Dumpty activities, we re-enacted the rhyme with the help of these props. This Shape Castle Craft is one of those crafts that uses simple materials but turns out so cute every time. We made this craft with our two daughters who are two and six with very different skill levels. For our younger daughter we actually traced the pre-cutout pieces onto a piece of construction paper first and then let her glue down the shapes like she was finishing a puzzle. Our older daughter was able to cut out the pieces on her own and create the castle herself with minimal guidance…
