/ Pakarinen, J (Jyvaskyla U. ; CERN) ; Grahn, T (Jyvaskyla U.) ; Gaffney, L P (KU Leuven, Dept. Phys. Astron. ; Liverpool U.) ; Algora, A (Valencia U., IFIC ; Debrecen, Inst. Nucl. The neutron-deficient ${}^{\mathrm{196,198}}$Pb isotopes have been studied in Coulomb-excitation experiments employing the Miniball γ-ray spectrometer and radioactive ion beams from the REX-ISOLDE post-accelerator at CERN. The reduced transition probabilities of the first excited 2(+) states in (196)Pb and (198)Pb nuclei have been measured for the first time. [...]

Determination of the B(E3, 0(+) -> 3(-))-excitation strength in octupole-correlated nuclei near A approx 224 by the means of Coulomb excitation at REX-ISOLDE
/ Scheck, M ; Gaffney, L P ; Butler, P A ; Hayes, A B ; Wenander, F (CERN) ; Albers, M ; Bastin, B ; Bauer, C ; Blazhev, A ; Bönig, S et al.
The IS475 collaboration conducted Coulomb-excitation experiments with postaccelerated radioactive (220)Rn and (224)Ra beams at the REX-ISOLDE facility. The beam particles (E(beam) ≈ 2.83 MeV/u) were Coulomb excited using (60)Ni, (114)Cd, and (120)Sn scattering targets. [...]

Coulomb excitation of $^{29,30}$Na: Mapping the borders of the island of inversion
/ Seidlitz, M (Cologne U.) ; Reiter, P (Cologne U.) ; Altenkirch, R (Cologne U.) ; Bastin, B (KU Leuven, Dept. Phys. Astron.) ; Bauer, C (Darmstadt, Tech. Hochsch.) ; Blazhev, A (Cologne U.) ; Bree, N (KU Leuven, Dept. Phys. Astron.) ; Bruyneel, B (Cologne U.) ; Butler, P A (Liverpool U.) ; Cederkäll, J (Lund U.) et al.
Nuclear shell evolution in neutron-rich Na nuclei around N=20 was studied by determining reduced transition probabilities, i.e., B(E2) and B(M1) values, in order to map the border of the island of inversion. To this end Coulomb-excitation experiments, employing radioactive 29,30Na beams with a final beam energy of 2.85 MeV/nucleon, were performed at REX-ISOLDE, CERN. [...]

Accelerated radioactive beams from REX-ISOLDE
/ Kester, O ; Sieber, T ; Emhofer, S ; Ames, F ; Reisinger, K ; Reiter, P ; Thirolf, P G ; Lutter, R ; Habs, D ; Wolf, B et al.
In 2001 the linear accelerator of the Radioactive beam EXperiment (REX-ISOLDE) delivered for the first time accelerated radioactive ion beams, at a beam energy of 2 MeV/u. REX-ISOLDE uses the method of charge-state breeding, in order to enhance the charge state of the ions before injection into the LINAC. [...]

Miniball : a $\gamma$-ray spectrometer with position-sensitive Ge detectors for nuclear structure studies at REX-ISOLDE
/ Eberth, J ; Franchoo, S ; Gast, W ; Gerl, J ; Gund, C ; Habs, D ; Huyse, A ; Lauer, M ; Liebli, K ; Lieder, R M et al.
Miniball is a dedicated Ge detector array which has been developed for the investigation of rare $\gamma$ decays at the new radioactive beam facility REX-ISOLDE at CERN. The array is optimised for high full-energy peak efficiency and for high granularity needed to perform Doppler corrections of $\gamma$-rays emitted by fast moving nuclei. [...]
