Measurement of the high-energy gamma-ray emission from the Moon with the Fermi Large Area Telescope / Fermi LAT Collaboration
We have measured the gamma-ray emission spectrum of the Moon using the data collected by the Large Area Telescope onboard the Fermi satellite during its first 7 years of operation, in the energy range from 30 MeV up to a few GeV. We have also studied the time evolution of the flux, finding a correlation with the solar activity. [...]

Limits on antiproton-nuclei annihilation cross sections at ∼125 keV / Aghai-Khozani, H (Munich, Max Planck Inst. Quantenopt.) ; Barna, D (Wigner RCP, Budapest ; CERN) ; Corradini, M (Brescia U. ; INFN, Pavia) ; De Salvador, D (Padua U. ; INFN, Legnaro) ; Hayano, R S (Tokyo U.) ; Hori, M (Munich, Max Planck Inst. Quantenopt.) ; Leali, M (Brescia U. ; INFN, Pavia) ; Lodi-Rizzini, E (Brescia U. ; INFN, Pavia) ; Mascagna, V (Brescia U. ; INFN, Pavia ; Insubria U., Como) ; Prest, M (Insubria U., Como ; INFN, Milan Bicocca) et al.
Some experimental limits on the annihilation cross sections $σ_{\textrm{ann}}$ of antiprotons on carbon, palladium, and platinum targets were determined at the previously unexplored kinetic energy region E≈125 keV. Information on $σ_{\textrm{ann}}$ at such low antiproton energies is important in understanding the dynamics of the annihilation process, and provides useful data for models that attempt to describe the matter-antimatter asymmetry in the universe by assuming the existence of islands of antimatter concentration..

Strong enhancement of electromagnetic shower development induced by high-energy photons in a thick oriented tungsten crystal / Soldani, M. (INFN, Ferrara ; Ferrara U.) ; Bandiera, L. (INFN, Ferrara) ; Moulson, M. (Frascati) ; Ballerini, G. (INFN, Milan ; Catania U.) ; Baryshevsky, V.G. (Belarus State U.) ; Bomben, L. (INFN, Milan ; Catania U.) ; Brizzolari, C. (Catania U. ; INFN, Milan) ; Charitonidis, N. (CERN) ; D'Alessandro, G.L. (CERN) ; De Salvador, D. (INFN, Legnaro ; Padua U.) et al.
We have observed a significant enhancement in the energy deposition by $25$--$100~\mathrm{GeV}$ photons in a $1~\mathrm{cm}$ thick tungsten crystal oriented along its $\langle 111 \rangle$ lattice axes. At $100~\mathrm{GeV}$, this enhancement, with respect to the value observed without axial alignment, is more than twofold. [...]

A segmented total energy detector (sTED) for (n, γ) cross section measurements at n_TOF EAR2 / n_TOF Collaboration
The neutron time-of-flight facility n_TOF is characterised by its high instantaneous neutron intensity, high-resolution and broad neutron energy spectra, specially conceived for neutron-induced reaction cross section measurements. Two Time-Of-Flight (TOF) experimental areas are available at the facility: experimental area 1 (EAR1), located at the end of the 185 m horizontal flight path from the spallation target, and experimental area 2 (EAR2), placed at 20 m from the target in the vertical direction.
