Kaon physics is at a turning point -- while the rare-kaon experiments NA62 and KOTO are in full swing, the end of their lifetime is approaching and the future experimental landscape needs to be defined. With HIKE, KOTO-II and LHCb-Phase-II on the table and under scrutiny, it is a very good moment in time to take stock and contemplate about the opportunities these experiments and theoretical developments provide for particle physics in the coming decade and beyond. Measurement of the CKM angle $\gamma$ in the $B^0 \to DK^{*0}$ channel using self-conjugate $D \to K_S^0 h^+h^-$ decays / LHCb Collaboration
A model-independent study of CP violation in $B^0 \to DK^{*0}$ decays is presented using data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9fb$^{-1}$ collected by the LHCb experiment at centre-of-mass energies of $\sqrt{s}=7, \, 8$ and $13$ TeV. The CKM angle $\gamma$ is determined by examining the distributions of signal decays in phase-space bins of the self-conjugate $D \to K_S^0 h^+ h^-$ decays, where $h = \pi, K$. [...]

Study of the doubly charmed tetraquark $T_{cc}^{+}$ / LHCb Collaboration
An exotic narrow state in the $D^0D^0\pi^+$ mass spectrum just below the $D^{*+}D^0$ mass threshold is studied using a data set corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9fb$^{-1}$ acquired with the LHCb detector in proton-proton collisions at centre-of-mass energies of 7, 8 and 13TeV. The state is consistent with the ground isoscalar $T^+_{cc}$ tetraquark with a quark content of $cc\bar{u}\bar{d}$ and spin-parity quantum numbers $\mathrm{J}^{\mathrm{P}}=1^+$. [...]

Observation of an exotic narrow doubly charmed tetraquark / LHCb Collaboration
Conventional hadronic matter consists of baryons and mesons made of three quarks and quark-antiquark pairs, respectively. The observation of a new type of hadronic state, a doubly charmed tetraquark containing two charm quarks, an anti-$u$ and an anti-$d$ quark, is reported using data collected by the LHCb experiment at the Large Hadron Collider. [...]

First measurement of the $C\!P$-violating phase in ${{B} ^0_{s}} \!\rightarrow {{J /\psi }} (\rightarrow e ^+e ^-$)$\phi $ decays / LHCb Collaboration
A flavour-tagged time-dependent angular analysis of $B^0_s\to J/\psi\phi$ decays is presented where the $J/\psi$ meson is reconstructed through its decay to an $e^+e^-$ pair. The analysis uses a sample of $pp$ collision data recorded with the LHCb experiment at centre-of-mass energies of $7$ and $8$ TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $3$ fb$^{-1}$. [...]

A measurement of the $K^+ \to \pi^+ \mu^+ \mu^-$ decay / NA62 Collaboration
A sample of $2.8 \times 10^4$ $K^+ \to \pi^+ \mu^+ \mu^-$ candidates with negligible background was collected by the NA62 experiment at the CERN SPS in 2017-2018. The model-independent branching fraction is measured to be $(9.15 \pm 0.08) \times 10^{-8}$, a factor three more precise than previous measurements. [...]

Search for the doubly charmed baryon ${\it{\Omega}_{cc}^{+}}$ / LHCb Collaboration
A search for the doubly charmed baryon $\it{\Omega}_{cc}^{+}$ with the decay mode $\it{\Omega}_{cc}^{+}\to\it{\Xi}_c^{+}K^{-}\pi^{+}$ is performed using proton-proton collision data at a centre-of-mass energy of 13$\mathrm{\,Te\kern -0.1em V}$ collected by the LHCb experiment from 2016 to 2018, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $5.4\,\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$. No significant signal is observed within the invariant mass range of 3.6 to 4.0$\mathrm{\,Ge\kern -0.1em V}/c^2$. [...]

Observation of new excited ${B} ^0_{s} $ states / LHCb Collaboration
A structure is observed in the $B^+K^-$ mass spectrum in a sample of proton--proton collisions at centre-of-mass energies of 7, 8, and 13 TeV, collected with the LHCb detector and corresponding to a total integrated luminosity of 9 fb${}^-1$. The structure is interpreted as the result of overlapping excited $B_s^0$ states. [...]

Test of lepton universality in beauty-quark decays / LHCb Collaboration
The Standard Model of particle physics currently provides our best description of fundamental particles and their interactions. The theory predicts that the different charged leptons, the electron, muon and tau, have identical electroweak interaction strengths. [...]

Performance of the NA62 trigger system / NA62 Collaboration
The NA62 experiment at CERN targets the measurement of the ultra-rare $K^+ \to \pi^+ \nu \bar\nu$ decay, and carries out a broad physics programme that includes probes for symmetry violations and searches for exotic particles. Data were collected in 2016–2018 using a multi-level trigger system, which is described highlighting performance studies based on 2018 data..
