SMEFT / Das Bakshi, Supratim (Indian Inst. Tech., Kanpur) ; Chakrabortty, Joydeep (Indian Inst. Tech., Kanpur) ; Patra, Sunando Kumar (Indian Inst. Tech., Kanpur)
In spite of the non-observation of any new resonances after the discovery of the Standard Model (SM)-Higgs like particle, which announces the success of the SM, we have enough reason to believe the existence of theories beyond it (BSM), with the SM as a part. As any such theory will affect the electro-weak and the Higgs sector, and the sensitivity of these precision observables are bound to increase in near future, indirect estimation of allowed room left for BSM using Standard Model Effective Field Theory (SMEFT) is well-motivated. Precision matching of microscopic physics to the Standard Model Effective Field Theory (SMEFT) / Greljo, Admir (Universitaet Bern (CH)) ; Dawson, Sally (Department of Physics, Brookhaven National Laboratory (US)) ; Lohwasser, Kristin (University of Sheffield (GB)) ; Aebischer, Jason (Universität Zürich (CH)) ; Das Bakshi, Supratim (Universidad de Granada (ES)) ; Carmona, Adrían (Universidad de Granada (ES)) ; Chakrabortty, Joydeep (Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IN)) ; Cohen, Timothy (University of Oregon (US)) ; Criado, Juan Carlos (Durham University (UK)) ; Fuentes-Martín, Javier (Universidad de Granada (ES)) et al.
This note gives an overview of the tools for the precision matching of ultraviolet theories to the Standard Model effective field theory (SMEFT) at the tree level and one loop. Several semi- and fully automated codes are presented, as well as some supplementary codes for the basis conversion and the subsequent running and matching at low energies. [...]

Relic density of dark matter in the inert doublet model beyond leading order for the low mass region: 2. Co-annihilation / Banerjee, Shankha (CERN) ; Boudjema, Fawzi (Annecy, LAPTH) ; Chakrabarty, Nabarun (Bangalore, Indian Inst. Sci. ; Indian Inst. Tech., Kanpur) ; Sun, Hao (Dalian U. Tech.)
We examine the relic density of the light mass dark matter region in the inert doublet model (IDM) when the dominant process is due to co-annihilation between the lightest neutral scalars of the model. The full one-loop electroweak corrections are computed in an on-shell scheme and are found to be well approximated as an effective cross-section expressed in terms of $Z$-observables. [...]

Global properties in O+O collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 7 TeV using AMPT model / Behera, Debadatta (Indian Inst. Tech., Kanpur) ; Mallick, Neelkamal (Indian Inst. Tech., Kanpur) ; Tripathy, Sushanta (INFN, Bologna) ; Prasad, Suraj (Indian Inst. Tech., Kanpur) ; Mishra, Aditya Nath (Wigner RCP, Budapest) ; Sahoo, Raghunath (Indian Inst. Tech., Kanpur ; CERN)
Extensive research on heavy-ion collisions at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) and Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC) has helped us produce and study the properties of quark-gluon plasma (QGP). Recent investigations hint towards the possible formation of QGP-droplets even in small collision systems such as high-multiplicity pp collisions. [...]

Transverse spherocity dependence of global observables in heavy-ion collisions at the LHC using AMPT model / Prasad, Suraj (Indian Inst. Tech., Kanpur) ; Mallick, Neelkamal (Indian Inst. Tech., Kanpur) ; Behera, Debadatta (Indian Inst. Tech., Kanpur) ; Sahoo, Raghunath (Indian Inst. Tech., Kanpur ; CERN) ; Tripathy, Sushanta (INFN, Bologna)
Transverse spherocity is a tool that separates events based on geometrical shapes, i.e., jetty and isotropic events. Transverse spherocity based studies are widely understood in small systems like proton-proton (pp) collisions, but it is yet to be explored in heavy-ion collisions. [...]

Search for BSM Physics in High-Mass Diphoton Events at CMS / Kamble, Samadhan (Indian Inst. Tech., Madras) /CMS Collaboration
We present the results from an extensive search for BSM particles in `high-mass diphoton events', a distinctive phase-space indicative of various SM extensions such as Supersymmetry, extra dimensions, and non-minimal Higgs sectors. The searches for both spin-0 and spin-2 particles in resonant as well as non-resonant scenarios were carried out using the full luminosity of the LHC Run-II in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 13 TeV with the CMS detector.
