Associated multiplicities in proton-proton collisions with a charged hadron at X=0 at the CERN ISR / Bellettini, G (INFN, Pisa ; Pisa U.) ; Abshire, G W (New York U.) ; Bøggild, H (Bohr Inst.) ; Braccini, Pier Luigi (INFN, Pisa ; Pisa U.) ; Carrara, R (INFN, Pisa ; Pisa U.) ; Castaldi, R (INFN, Pisa ; Pisa U.) ; Cavasinni, V (INFN, Pisa ; Pisa U.) ; Cervelli, F (INFN, Pisa ; Pisa U.) ; Crouch, J (New York U.) ; Del Prete, T (INFN, Pisa ; Pisa U.) et al.
Charged-particle multiplicities and angular distributions associated with a pi /sup +or-/, K/sup +or-/, p and p produced at 90 degrees , have been measured at the CERN ISR. The triggering particle was identified by a magnetic spectrometer, within a range of transverse laboratory momentum p/sub T/ which was different for different particles. [...]

A study of the production of high-p/sub T/ pi /sup 0/s at the CERN Intersecting Storage Rings / Kourkoumelis, C ; Cnops, A M ; Fabjan, Christian Wolfgang ; Fields, T ; Filippas-Tassos, A ; Fokitis, E ; Iwata, S ; Lissauer, D ; Mannelli, I ; Mouzourakis, P et al.
The inclusive cross-section for pi /sup 0/ production near 90 degrees in pp collisions at the CERN Intersecting Storage Rings has been studied fro the p/sub T/ range 3<P/sub T/<16 GeV/c at four different centre-of-mass energies ( square root s=30.6, 44.8, 52.7, and 62.8 Ge V). In this experiment the two photons from the pi /sup O/ to gamma gamma decay were resolved and measured separately for p/sub T/ values up to 10 GeV/c. [...]

Transverse momentum dependence of directed particle flow at 160A GeV / Zabrodin, E E ; Fuchs, C ; Bravina, L V ; Faessler, A
The transverse momentum (p/sub t/) dependence of hadron flow at SPS energies is studied. In particular, the nucleon and pion flow in S+S and Pb+Pb collisions at 160A GeV is investigated. [...]

High $P_{t}$ and jets / Jacob, Maurice René Michel (CERN)
Recent developments in the field of high-p/sub T/ hadronic interactions are reviewed. They mainly refer to the jet structure of reactions with high-p/sub T/ secondaries and to the properties of hadronic jets. [...]

Systematic study of high $p_{T}$ hadron spectra in pp, pA, and AA collisions at ultrarelativistic energies / Wang Xin Nian
High-p/sub T/ particle spectra in p+p (p+p), p+A, and A+B collisions are calculated in a parton model with QCD-inspired hard scattering and evolution in which intrinsic transverse momentum, its broadening due to initial multiple parton scattering, and jet quenching due to parton energy loss inside a dense medium are included phenomenologically. The intrinsic k/sub T/ and its broadening in p+A and A+B collisions due to initial multiple parton scattering are found to be very important at low energies ( square root s<50 GeV). [...]

Phenomenological analysis of high-p/sub T/ spectra and angular multiplicity correlations in pp collisions / Raito, R O ; Ringland, G A
The constituent-interchange model is found to give a reasonable overall fit to both the high-p/sub T/ inclusive single-particle spectra and angular multiplicity correlations in pp interactions measured at FNAL and the CERN ISR. There are discrepancies in detail, notably with simple counting-rule predictions of energy dependences, and with the origin of the observed suppression of diagrams that should be significant. [...]

Detailed quantum-chromodynamic predictions for high-p/sub T/ processes / Owens, J F ; Glück, M ; Reya, E
High-p/sub T/ single-particle inclusive cross section calculations are presented for the CERN ISR and ISABELLE energy ranges, taking into account all lowest-order hard-scattering subprocesses required by quantum chromodynamics (QCD). The input quark and gluon distribution and fragmentation functions were determined from analyses of deep- inelastic lepton data and were subject to various theoretical constraints such as sum rules and SU(3) symmetry.
