High-resolution cross section measurements for neutron interactions on $^{89}$Y with incident neutron energies up to 95 keV
/ Tagliente, G (INFN, Bari) ; Milazzo, P M (INFN, Trieste) ; Paradela, C (Geel, JRC) ; Kopecky, S (Geel, JRC) ; Vescovi, D (INFN, Perugia ; Cagliari Observ.) ; Alaerts, G (Geel, JRC) ; Damone, L A (INFN, Bari ; CERN) ; Heyse, J (Geel, JRC) ; Krtička, M (Charles U.) ; Schillebeeckx, P (Geel, JRC) et al.
The cross section of the $^{89}$Y(n, $\gamma $) reaction has important implications in nuclear astrophysics and for advanced nuclear technology. Given its neutron magic number N = 50 and a consequent small neutron capture cross section, $^{89}$Y represents one of the key nuclides for the stellar s-process. [...]

Neutron capture and total cross-section measurements on $^{94,95,96}$Mo at n_TOF and GELINA
/ n_TOF Collaboration
Capture and total cross section measurements for 94,95,96Mo have been performed at the neutron time-of-flight facilities, n_TOF at CERN and GELINA at JRC-Geel. The measurements were performed using isotopically enriched samples with an enrichment above 95% for each of the 94,95,96Mo isotopes. [...]

The neutron-induced fission cross section of $^{235}$U, a standard at thermal energy and between 0.15 MeV and 200 MeV, plays a crucial role in nuclear technology applications. The long-standing need of improving cross section data above 20 MeV and the lack of experimental data above 200 MeV motivated a new experimental campaign at the n_TOF facility at CERN. [...]

Multi-section fission ionization chamber for measurement of 239Pu(n,γ) reaction in fission tagging method
/ Perkowski, J (Lodz U.) ; Alcayne, V (Madrid, CIEMAT) ; Andrzejewski, J (Lodz U.) ; Cano-Ott, D (Madrid, CIEMAT) ; Gawlik-Ramięga, A (Lodz U.) ; Mendoza, E (Madrid, CIEMAT) ; Sánchez-Caballero, A (Madrid, CIEMAT) ; Sibbens, G (Geel, JRC) ; Vanleeuw, D (Geel, JRC) ; Aberle, O (CERN) et al.
The 239Pu(n,γ) reaction cross section is very important for operation of both thermal and fast reactors, when loaded with MOX fuels. According to the NEA/OECD High Priority Request List the precision of cross section data for this reaction should be improved. [...]

We have measured theγ-rays following neutron capture on240Pu and244Cm at the n_TOF facility at CERN with the Total Absorption Calorimeter (TAC) and with C6D6 organic scintillators. The TAC is made of 40 BaF2 crystals operating in coincidence and covering almost the entire solid angle. [...]

The neutron time of flight (n_TOF) facility at CERN is a spallation source characterized by a white neutron spectrum. The innovative features of the facility, in the two experimental areas, (20 m and 185 m), allow for an accurate determination of the neutron cross section for radioactive samples or for isotopes with small neutron capture cross section, of interest for Nuclear Astrophysics. Measurement of the $^{244}$Cm capture cross sections at both CERN n_TOF experimental areas
/ Alcayne, V (Madrid, CIEMAT) ; Mendoza, E (Madrid, CIEMAT) ; Cano-Ott, D (Madrid, CIEMAT) ; Kimura, A (JAEA, Ibaraki) ; Aberle, O (CERN) ; Amaducci, S (INFN, LNS ; Catania U.) ; Andrzejewski, J (Lodz U.) ; Audouin, L (Orsay, IPN) ; Babiano-Suarez, V (Valencia U., IFIC) ; Bacak, M (CERN ; Vienna, Tech. Accurate neutron capture cross section data for minor actinides (MAs) are required to estimate the production and transmutation rates of MAs in light water reactors with a high burnup, critical fast reactors like Gen-IV systems and other innovative reactor systems such as accelerator driven systems (ADS). Capture reactions of $^{244}$Cm open the path for the formation of heavier Cm isotopes and of heavier elements such as Bk and Cf. [...]
