Production of excited beauty states in Z decays / ALEPH Collaboration
A data sample of about 3.0 million hadronic Z decays collected by the ALEPH experiment at LEP in the years 1991 through 1994, is used to make an inclusive selection of B~hadron events. In this event sample 4227 \pm 140 \pm 252 B^* mesons in the decay B^* \to B \gamma and 1944 \pm 108 \pm 161 B^{**} mesons decaying into a B~meson and a charged pion are reconstructed. [...]

Measurement of the Forward-Backward Asymmetry in $Z \to b\overline{b}$ and $Z \to c\overline{c}$ Decays with Leptons / ALEPH Collaboration
The sample of hadronic Z decays collected by the ALEPH detector at LEP in the years 1991-1995 is analysed in order to measure the forward-backward asymmetry in $Z \to b\bar{b}$ and $Z \to c\bar{c}$ events and the $B^0-\bar{B^0}$ average mixing parameter $\bar{\chi}$. A study of the decay width difference in the $B^{0}_{s}-\overline{B}^{0}_{s}$ system using $\phi\phi$ correlations / ALEPH Collaboration
In a data sample of about four million hadronic Z decays recorded with the ALEPH detector from 1991 to 1995, the $B^{0}_{s} \to D^{(*)+}_{s}D^{(*)-}_{s}$ decay is observed, based on tagging the nal state with two $\phi$ mesons in the same hemisphere. The $D^{(*)+}_{s}D^{(*)-} _{s}$ final state is mostly CP even and corresponds to the short-lived $B^0$ mass eigenstate. [...]

Resonant structure and flavour tagging in the $B\pi^{\pm}$ system using fully reconstructed $B$ decays / ALEPH Collaboration
Starting from a sample of four million hadronic $Z$ decays collected with the ALEPH detector at LEP, 404 charged and neutral $B$ mesons are fully reconstructed and used to look for resonant structure in the $B\pi$ system. An excess of events is observed above the expected background in the $B\pi$ mass spectrum at a mass $\approx 5.7$ GeV/c$^2$, consistent with the production and decay to $B^{(*)}\pi$ of the $B^{**}$ states predicted by Heavy Quark Symmetry (HQS). A precise measurement of the average b hadron lifetime / ALEPH Collaboration
An improved measurement of the average b hadron lifetime is performed using a sample of 1.5 million hadronic Z decays, collected during the 1991-1993 runs of ALEPH, with the silicon vertex detector fully operational. This uses the three-dimensional impact parameter distribution of lepton tracks coming from semileptonic b decays and yields an average b hadron lifetime of 1.533 \pm 0.013 \pm 0.022 ps..
