Dipole strength functions in the chain of xenon isotopes are analyzed on the basis of photon-scatterde experiments with bremsstrahlung at the ELBE facility in Dresden, Germany, and at the HI S facility in Durham, North Carolina, USA. The evolution of dipole strength with neutron excess and nuclear deformation is studied..

We identified 210 levels up to an excitation energy of 9.4 MeV and assigned spin $J$ = 1 to most of them. [...]

Measurement of the $^{16}$O(n, α)$^{13}$C cross-section using a Double Frisch Grid Ionization Chamber / n_TOF Collaboration
The $^{16}$O(n, α)$^{13}$C reaction was proposed to be measured at the neutron time-of-flight (n_TOF) facility of CERN. To this purpose, a Double Frisch Grid Ionization Chamber (DFGIC) containing the oxygen atoms as a component in the counting gas coupled with a switch device in order to prevent the charge collection from the so-called γ-flash has been developed at Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR), in Germany. The first $^{16}$O(n, α)$^{13}$C measurement without seeing the charge of the γ-flash at n_TOF has been performed in November 2018. [...]

A total of 128 J=1 states were identified, among them 9 with 1$^+$ and 86 with 1$^−$ assignments. [...]

Importance of nuclear triaxiality for electromagnetic strength, level density and neutron capture cross sections in heavy nuclei / Grosse, Eckart (Dresden, Tech. U.) ; Junghans, Arnd R (HZDR, Dresden) ; Massarczyk, Ralph (HZDR, Dresden ; Dresden, Tech. U.)
Cross sections for neutron capture in the range of unresolved resonances are predicted simultaneously to level distances at the neutron threshold for more than 100 spin-0 target nuclei with A >70. Assuming triaxiality in nearly all these nuclei a combined parameterization for both, level density and photon strength is presented. [...]
