Probing strangeness with event topology classifiers in pp collisions at the LHC with rope hadronization mechanism in PYTHIA / Prasad, Suraj (Indian Inst. Tech., Indore) ; Sahoo, Bhagyarathi (Indian Inst. Tech., Indore) ; Tripathy, Sushanta (CERN) ; Mallick, Neelkamal (Indian Inst. Tech., Indore) ; Sahoo, Raghunath (Indian Inst. Tech., Indore)
In relativistic heavy-ion collisions, the formation of a deconfined and thermalized state of partons, known as quark-gluon plasma, leads to enhanced production of strange hadrons in contrast to proton-proton (pp) collisions, which are taken as baseline. [...]

Tech., Indore) ; Prasad, Suraj (Indian Inst. Tech., Indore) ; Tripathy, Sushanta (CERN) ; Mallick, Neelkamal (Indian Inst. Tech., Indore) ; Sahoo, Raghunath (Indian Inst. Tech., Indore)
Recent observations of quark-gluon plasma (QGP) like signatures in high multiplicity proton-proton (pp) collisions, have compelled the heavy-ion physics community to re-examine the pp collisions for proper baseline studies. [...]

Possible formation of a perfect fluid in $pp$, $p$–Pb, Xe–Xe and Pb–Pb collisions at the Large Hadron Collider energies: a color string percolation approach / Sahu, Dushmanta (Indian Inst. Tech., Madras ; Indian Inst. Tech., Kanpur) ; Tripathy, Sushanta (Indian Inst. Tech., Madras ; Indian Inst. Tech., Kanpur) ; Sahoo, Raghunath (Indian Inst. Tech., Madras ; Indian Inst. Isothermal compressibility ($\kappa_{\rm T}$) is an important thermodynamic observable which gives information about the deviation of a system from perfect fluid behavior. In this work, for the first time we have estimated the isothermal compressibility of QCD matter formed in high energy hadronic and nuclear collisions using color string percolation model (CSPM), where we investigate the change in $\kappa_{\rm T}$ as a function of final state charged particle multiplicity and initial percolation temperature across various collision species. Charmonium suppression in ultra-relativistic proton–proton collisions at LHC energies: a hint for QGP in small systems / Singh, Captain R. (Indian Inst. Tech., Indore) ; Deb, Suman (Indian Inst. Tech., Indore) ; Sahoo, Raghunath (Indian Inst. Tech., Indore ; CERN) ; Alam, Jan-e (Calcutta, VECC)
Proton-proton ($pp$) collision has been considered as a baseline to study the system produced in relativistic heavy-ion (AA) collisions with the basic assumption that no thermal medium is formed in $pp$ collisions. This warrants a cautious analysis of the system produced in $pp$ collisions at relativistic energies. In this work we investigate the charmonium suppression in $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 5.02, 7$ and $13$ TeV energies. Do Proton+Proton Collisions at the LHC Energies Produce Droplets of Quark-Gluon Plasma? / Sahoo, Raghunath (Indian Inst. Tech., Indore)
The proton-proton ($pp$) collisions at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), CERN, Switzerland has brought up new challenges and opportunities in understanding the experimental findings in contrast to the conventional lower energy $pp$ collisions. Usually $pp$ collisions are used as the baseline measurement at the GeV and TeV energies in order to understand a possible high density QCD medium formation in heavy-ion collisions. [...]

Predictions on global properties in O+O collisions at the Large Hadron Collider using a multi-phase transport model / Behera, Debadatta (Indian Inst. Tech., Indore) ; Mallick, Neelkamal (Indian Inst. Tech., Indore) ; Tripathy, Sushanta (INFN, Bologna) ; Prasad, Suraj (Indian Inst. Tech., Indore) ; Mishra, Aditya Nath (Wigner RCP, Budapest) ; Sahoo, Raghunath (Indian Inst. Tech., Indore ; CERN)
Oxygen ($^{16}$O) ions are planned to be injected at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) in its next runs, and a day of physics run is anticipated for O+O collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\rm{NN}}}$ = 7 TeV. As the system size of O+O collisions has the final state multiplicity overlap with those produced in pp, p+Pb and Pb+Pb collisions, the study of global properties in O+O collisions may provide a deeper insight into the heavy-ion-like behavior observed in small collision systems and its similarities/differences with a larger system like Pb+Pb collisions. Probing initial geometrical anisotropy and final azimuthal anisotropy in heavy-ion collisions at Large Hadron Collider energies through event-shape engineering / Prasad, Suraj (Indian Inst. Tech., Kanpur) ; Mallick, Neelkamal (Indian Inst. Tech., Kanpur) ; Tripathy, Sushanta (INFN, Bologna ; CERN) ; Sahoo, Raghunath (Indian Inst. Tech., Kanpur)
Anisotropic flow is accredited to have effects from the initial state geometry and fluctuations in the nuclear overlap region. The elliptic flow ($v_2$) and triangular flow ($v_3$) coefficients of the final state particles are expected to have influenced by eccentricity ($\varepsilon_2$) and triangularity ($\varepsilon_3$) of the participants, respectively. Hadron gas in the presence of a magnetic field using non-extensive statistics: A transition from diamagnetic to paramagnetic system / Pradhan, Girija Sankar (Indian Inst. Tech., Indore) ; Sahu, Dushmanta (Indian Inst. Tech., Indore) ; Deb, Suman (Indian Inst. Tech., Indore) ; Sahoo, Raghunath (Indian Inst. Tech., Indore ; CERN)
Non-central heavy-ion collisions at ultra-relativistic energies are unique in producing magnetic fields of the largest strength in the laboratory. Such fields being produced at the early stages of the collision could affect the properties of Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD) matter formed in the relativistic heavy-ion collisions. [...]

Exploring the effect of hadron cascade-time on particle production in Xe+Xe collisions at $\sqrt {s_{NN}}$ = 5.44 TeV through a multi-phase transport model / Pradhan, Girija Sankar (Indian Inst. Tech., Indore) ; Rath, Rutuparna (Indian Inst. Tech., Indore) ; Scaria, Ronald (Indian Inst. Tech., Indore) ; Sahoo, Raghunath (Indian Inst. Tech., Indore ; CERN)
Heavy-ion collisions at ultra-relativistic energies provide extreme conditions of energy density and temperature to produce a deconfined state of quarks and gluons. Xenon (Xe) being a deformed nucleus further gives access to the effect of initial geometry on final state particle production. [...]

Tech., Kanpur) ; Behera, Debadatta (Indian Inst. Tech., Kanpur) ; Sahoo, Raghunath (Indian Inst. Tech., Kanpur ; CERN) ; Tripathy, Sushanta (INFN, Bologna)
