Neutrino fluxes from nonuniversal Higgs mass LSP annihilations in the Sun
/ Ellis, John (CERN ; King's Coll. London) ; Olive, Keith A. (Minnesota U. ; Stanford U., Phys. Dept. ; SLAC) ; Savage, Christopher (Stockholm U., OKC) ; Spanos, Vassilis C. (Democritos Nucl. Res. Ctr.)
We extend our previous studies of the neutrino fluxes expected from neutralino LSP annihilations inside the Sun to include variants of the minimal supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model (MSSM) with squark, slepton and gaugino masses constrained to be universal at the GUT scale, but allowing one or two non-universal supersymmetry-breaking parameters contributing to the Higgs masses (NUHM1,2). As in the constrained MSSM (CMSSM) with universal Higgs masses, there are large regions of the NUHM parameter space where the LSP density inside the Sun is not in equilibrium, so that the annihilation rate may be far below the capture rate, and there are also large regions where the capture rate is not dominated by spin-dependent LSP-proton scattering. Varying the Universality of Supersymmetry-Breaking Contributions to MSSM Higgs Boson Masses
/ Ellis, John R. (CERN) ; Olive, Keith A. (Minnesota U., Theor. Phys. Inst.) ; Sandick, Pearl (Minnesota U., Theor. Phys. Inst.)
We consider the minimal supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model (MSSM) with varying amounts of non-universality in the soft supersymmetry-breaking contributions to the Higgs scalar masses. In addition to the constrained MSSM (CMSSM) in which these are universal with the soft supersymmetry-breaking contributions to the squark and slepton masses at the input GUT scale, we consider scenarios in which both the Higgs scalar masses are non-universal by the same amount (NUHM1), and scenarios in which they are independently non-universal (NUHM2). The Fine-Tuning Price of Neutralino Dark Matter in Models with Non-Universal Higgs Masses
/ Ellis, John R. (CERN) ; King, S.F. (Southampton U.) ; Roberts, J.P. (Warsaw U.)
We study the amounts of fine-tuning of the parameters of the MSSM with non-universal soft supersymmetry-breaking contributions to the Higgs masses (the NUHM) that would be required for the relic neutralino density to lie within the range favoured by WMAP and other astrophysical and cosmological observations. Such dark matter fine-tuning is analogous to the commonly studied electroweak fine-tuning associated with satisfying the electroweak symmetry breaking conditions, which we also study for completeness. The Higgs Mass beyond the CMSSM
/ Ellis, John (King's Coll. London ; CERN) ; Luo, Feng (King's Coll. London) ; Olive, Keith A. (Minnesota U., Theor. Phys. Inst.) ; Sandick, Pearl (Utah U.)
The apparent discovery of a Higgs boson with mass ~125 GeV has had a significant impact on the constrained minimal supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model in which the scalar masses, gaugino masses and tri-linear A-terms are assumed to be universal at the GUT scale (the CMSSM). Much of the low-mass parameter space in the CMSSM has been excluded by supersymmetric particle searches at the LHC as well as by the Higgs mass measurement and the emergent signal for B_s to mu^+ mu^-. The Supersymmetric Parameter Space in Light of B-physics Observables and Electroweak Precision Data
/ Ellis, Jonathan Richard (CERN) ; Heinemeyer, S (Instituto de Fisica de Cantabria (CSIC-UC), Santander) ; Olive, K A (William I. Fine Theoretical Physics Institute, University of Minnesota, Minneapolis) ; Weber, A M (Max-Planck, Munich) ; Weiglein, G (IPPP, University of Durham)
Indirect information about the possible scale of supersymmetry (SUSY) breaking is provided by B-physics observables (BPO) as well as electroweak precision observables (EWPO). We combine the constraints imposed by recent measurements of the BPO BR(b -> s gamma), BR(B_s -> mu^+ mu^-), BR(B_u -> tau nu_tau) and Delta M_{B_s} with those obtained from the experimental measurements of the EWPO M_W, sin^2 theta_eff, Gamma_Z, (g-2)_mu and M_h, incorporating the latest theoretical calculations of these observables within the Standard Model and supersymmetric extensions. On the Feasibility of a Stop NLSP in Gravitino Dark Matter Scenarios
/ Diaz-Cruz, J.L. (Colima U. ; Puebla U., Mexico) ; Ellis, John R. (CERN) ; Olive, Keith A. (Minnesota U., Theor. Phys. Inst.) ; Santoso, Yudi (Victoria U.)
We analyze the possibility that the lighter stop {\tilde t_1} could be the next-to-lightest supersymmetric particle (NLSP) in models where the gravitino is the lightest supersymmetric particle (LSP). We do not find any possibility for a stop NLSP in the constrained MSSM with universal input soft supersymmetry-breaking masses at the GUT scale (CMSSM), but do find small allowed regions in models with non-universal Higgs masses (NUHM). Update on the Direct Detection of Dark Matter in MSSM Models with Non-Universal Higgs Masses
/ Ellis, John (CERN) ; Olive, Keith A (Minnesota U.) ; Sandick, Pearl (Texas U.)
We discuss the possibilities for the direct detection of neutralino dark matter via elastic scattering in variants of the minimal supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model (MSSM) with non-universal supersymmetry-breaking contributions to the Higgs masses, which may be either equal (NUHM1) or independent (NUHM2). We compare the ranges found in the NUHM1 and NUHM2 with that found in the MSSM with universal supersymmetry-breaking contributions to all scalar masses, the CMSSM. [...]

We make a frequentist analysis of the parameter space of minimal supergravity (mSUGRA), in which, as well as the gaugino and scalar soft supersymmetry-breaking parameters being universal, there is a specific relation between the trilinear, bilinear and scalar supersymmetry-breaking parameters, A_0 = B_0 + m_0, and the gravitino mass is fixed by m_{3/2} = m_0. We also consider a more general model, in which the gravitino mass constraint is relaxed (the VCMSSM). [...]

Exploration of the MSSM with Non-Universal Higgs Masses
/ Ellis, Jonathan Richard (CERN) ; Falk, T ; Olive, Keith A ; Santoso, Y
We explore the parameter space of the minimal supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model (MSSM), allowing the soft supersymmetry-breaking masses of the Higgs multiplets, m_{1,2}, to be non-universal (NUHM). Compared with the constrained MSSM (CMSSM) in which m_{1,2} are required to be equal to the soft supersymmetry-breaking masses m_0 of the squark and slepton masses, the Higgs mixing parameter mu and the pseudoscalar Higgs mass m_A, which are calculated in the CMSSM, are free in the NUHM model.
