Passive CMOS Strip Sensors – Characterisation, Simulation and Test Beam Results / Zatocilova, Iveta (Freiburg U.) ; Arling, Jan-Hendrik (DESY) ; Baselga, Marta (Dortmund U.) ; Davis, Naomi (DESY) ; Diehl, Leena (Freiburg U. ; CERN) ; Dingfelder, Jochen (Bonn U.) ; Gregor, Ingrid-Maria (DESY) ; Hauser, Marc (Freiburg U.) ; Hemperek, Tomasz (Bonn U.) ; Hügging, Fabian (Bonn U.) et al.
In the passive CMOS Strips Project, strip sensors were designed by a collaboration of German institutes and produced at LFoundry in 150 nm technology. Up to five individual reticles were connected by stitching at the foundry in order to obtain the typical strip lengths required for the LHC Phase-II upgrade of ATLAS or CMS trackers. [...]

Novel collider experiments demand an increased performance of the silicon detectors used, such as withstanding up to 1×1017neq/cm2 in unprecedented pile-up conditions and providing time resolution around 10ps. Currently, Low Gain Avalanche Diodes (LGADs) are the standard, achieving resolutions below 30ps. [...]

Techniques for the Investigation of Segmented Sensors Using the Two Photon Absorption-Transient Current Technique / Pape, Sebastian (CERN ; Tech. U., Dortmund (main)) ; Curras, Esteban (CERN) ; Fernandez Garcia, Marcos (CERN ; CSIC, Madrid) ; Moll, Michael (CERN)
The Two Photon Absorption - Transient Current Technique (TPA-TCT) was used to investigate a silicon strip detector with illumination from the top. Measurement and analysis techniques for the TPA-TCT of segmented devices are presented and discussed using a passive strip CMOS detector as an example. [...]
