Discussion on a possible neutrino detector located in India
/ Murthy, M.V.N. (IMSc, Chennai) ; Yajnik, U.A. (Indian Inst. Tech., Mumbai) ; Balaji, K.R.S. ; Bhattacharyya, G. ; Dighe, Amol ; Dugad, Shashikant ; Hari Dass, N.D. ; Kabir, P.K. ; Kar, Kamales ; Indumathi, D. et al.
We have identified some important and worthwhile physics opportunitites with a possible neutrino detector located in India. Particular emphasis is placed on the geographical advantage with a stress on the complimentary aspects with respect to other neutrino detectors already in operation..

We report on a plan to establish a "Dictionary of LHC Signatures", an initiative that started at the WHEPPX workshop in January 2008. This study aims towards the strategy on distinguishing of 3 classes of dark matter motivated scenarios such as R-parity conserved supersymmetry, Little Higgs models with T-parity conservation and Universal Extra Dimensions with KK-parity for generic cases of their realization in wide range of the model space. The conclusions of the Physics Working Group of the international scoping study of a future Neutrino Factory and super-beam facility (the ISS) are presented. The ISS was carried by the international community between NuFact05, (the 7th International Workshop on Neutrino Factories and Superbeams, Laboratori Nazionali di Frascati, Rome, June 21-26, 2005) and NuFact06 (Ivine, California, 24{30 August 2006). Drell-Yan, ZZ, W+W- production in SM & ADD model to NLO+PS accuracy at the LHC
/ Frederix, R. (CERN) ; Mandal, M.K. (Harish-Chandra Res. Inst.) ; Mathews, P. (Saha Inst.) ; Ravindran, V. (IMSc, Chennai) ; Seth, S. (Saha Inst.)
In this paper, we present the next-to-leading order QCD corrections for di-lepton, di-electroweak boson (ZZ, W+W-) production in both the SM and the ADD model, matched to the HERWIG parton-shower using the aMC@NLO framework. A selection of results at the 8 TeV LHC, which exhibits deviation from the SM as a result of the large extra-dimension scenario are presented..
