Beta-delayed multi-particle emission studies at ISOLDE / García-Borge, M J (Instituto de Estructura de la Materia, CSIC, Madrid, Spain)
We report here on the recent beta -decay studies made at ISOLDE/CERN to determine the multiparticle breakup mechanism of excited states in light nuclei. The beta -2p emission in /sup 31/Ar is resolved. [...]

Asymmetry in the super-allowed $\beta$-transitions of the A=9 isobars / García-Borge, M J ; Prezado, Y ; Bergmann, U C ; Boutami, R ; Cederkäll, J ; Diget, C A ; Fraile-Prieto, L M ; Fynbo, H O U ; Jading, Y ; Jeppesen, H B et al.
We report here on the recent $\beta$-decay studies of the A = 9 isobar made at ISOLDE/CERN. Mirror $\beta$ - transitions in the A=9 chain are compared and a large asymmetry factor is deduced for the transitions to high excitation energy in $^{9}$Be (11.8 MeV) and $^{9}$B (12.2 MeV) fed in the $\beta$-decay of $^{9}$Li and $^{9}$C respectively. Particle unstable excited states in /sup 9/Be : influence of beta recoil and width on delayed particle spectra / Nyman, G H ; Azuma, R E ; Jonson, B ; Kratz, K L ; Larsson, P O ; Mattsson, S ; Ziegert, W
The light nucleus /sup 9/Be has been studied through the emission of beta-delayed neutrons and alpha particles from /sup 9/Li. The activity is produced at the ISOLDE facility in fragmentation reactions induced either by 600 MeV proton or 910 MeV /sup 3/He beams from the CERN Synchro-cyclotron. [...]

The $\beta$-decay of $^{9}$Li to the high lying states in $^{9}$Be / Prezado, Y ; Bergmann, U C ; García-Borge, M J ; Cerdekall, J ; Fraile-Prieto, L M ; Fynbo, H O U ; Jeppesen, H B ; Jonson, B ; Meister, M ; Nilsson, T et al.
Mirror $\beta$-transitions should have similar strengths as long as binding energy, Coulomb energy and other explicitly breaking effects are small. However, large $\beta$-decay asymmetries have been observed in the decay of $^{9}$C "Phys. [...]

Delayed neutron emission probabilities of $^{9}$Li and $^{11}$Li / Bjørnstad, T ; Gustafsson, Hans Åke ; Hansen, P G ; Jonson, B ; Lindfors, V ; Mattsson, S ; Poskanzer, A M ; Ravn, H L /ISOLDE Collaboration
The P/sub n/ values for /sup 9/Li and /sup 11/Li were determined to be (50+or-4)% and (95+or-8)%, respectively, by a beta-neutron coincidence technique. The P/sub n/ values of /sup 27-31/Na, /sup 93-98/Rb and /sup 145-146/Cs, which had been deduced by normalization to the older P/sub n/ value for /sup 9/Li, should thus be raised by the factor 1.43. beta -delayed emission of alpha particles rom /sup 9/Li and of both alpha and /sup 6/He particles from /sup 11/Li is observed. New beta branches are reported which populate high-energy levels in the daughter nuclei. [...]

Correlated emission of three alpha -particles in the beta -decay of $^{12}$/N / Fynbo, H O U ; Prezado, Y ; Äystö, J ; Bergmann, U C ; García-Borge, M J ; Dendooven, P ; Huang, W ; Huikari, J ; Jeppesen, H B ; Jones, P et al.
The beta -decay of /sup 12/N is used to populate alpha -emitting excited states in /sup 12/C. The alpha -particles from the break-up of both the 10.3 MeV and 12.71 MeV states were measured in coincidence with an efficient detector setup consisting of two double-sided Si strip detectors. [...]

/sup 40/Ca, /sup 58/Ni and /sup 60/Ni beams from the Munich tandem and the Munich heavy ion postaccelerator have been used to produce very proton rich nuclei in the N=50 N=82 regions. The residual nuclei have been studied with the help of gamma and particle spectroscopy. [...]

The beta -decays of Sr and Y isotopes in the mass chains 96, 98, 100 and the level schemes of their Y and Zr daughters / LOHENGRIN Collaboration
The fission product separators JOSEF at the Kernforschungsanlage Julich, Germany and LOHENGRIN at the Institut Laue-Langevin, Grenoble, France were used for the investigation of the beta -decays and the level schemes of short-lived Sr, Y and Zr isotopes with A=96, 98 and 100 which lie at the onset of the deformed region. The beta -spectra, singles gamma -ray spectra, prompt and delayed gamma , gamma ; beta , gamma and e/sup -/, gamma coincidences were measured. [...]
