Evolution of single-particle structure near the $N=20$ island of inversion / MacGregor, P T (Manchester U.) ; Sharp, D K (Manchester U.) ; Freeman, S J (Manchester U.) ; Hoffman, C R (Argonne, PHY) ; Kay, B P (Argonne, PHY) ; Tang, T L (Argonne, PHY) ; Gaffney, L P (Liverpool U. ; CERN) ; Baader, E F (CERN) ; Borge, M J G (Madrid, Inst. Estructura Materia) ; Butler, P A (Liverpool U.) et al.
The single-particle properties of $^{29}$Mg have been investigated via a measurement of the $^{28}$Mg(d,p) 29Mg reaction, in inverse kinematics, using the ISOLDE Solenoidal Spectrometer. The negative-parity intruder states from the f p shell have been identified and used to benchmark modern shell-model calculations. [...]

Quadrupole Moments of $^{29}$Mg and $^{33}$Mg / Yordanov, Deyan Todorov (Orsay, IPN ; Heidelberg, Max Planck Inst. ; CERN) ; Kowalska, Magdalena (CERN) ; Blaum, Klaus (Heidelberg, Max Planck Inst.) ; De Rydt, Marieke (Leuven U.) ; Flanagan, Kieran T. (Manchester U. ; Leuven U.) ; Himpe, Pieter (Leuven U.) ; Lievens, Peter (Leuven U.) ; Mallion, Stephen (Leuven U.) ; Neugart, Rainer (Heidelberg, Max Planck Inst. ; Mainz U., Inst. Kernchem.) ; Neyens, Gerda (Leuven U.) et al.
The quadrupole moments of 29Mg and 33Mg have been constrained by collinear laser spectroscopy at CERN-ISOLDE. The values are consistent with shell-model predictions, thus supporting the current understanding of light nuclei associated with the "island of inversion"..

Probing the single-particle behavior above $^{132}$Sn via electromagnetic moments of $^{133,134}$Sb and $N=82$ isotones / Lechner, S (CERN ; TU Vienna) ; Xu, Z Y (Leuven U. ; Tennessee U.) ; Bissell, M L (Manchester U.) ; Blaum, K (Heidelberg, Max Planck Inst.) ; Cheal, B (Liverpool U.) ; De Gregorio, G (Napoli Seconda U. ; INFN, Naples) ; Devlin, C S (Liverpool U.) ; Garcia Ruiz, R F (CERN) ; Gargano, A (INFN, Naples) ; Heylen, H (CERN) et al.
Magnetic and quadrupole moments of the $7/2^+$ ground state in $^{133}$Sb and the ($7^-$) isomer in $^{134}$Sb have been measured by collinear laser spectroscopy to investigate the single-particle behavior above the doubly magic nucleus $^{132}$Sn. The comparison of experimental data of the $7/2^+$ states in $^{133}$Sb and neighboring $N = 82$ isotones to shell-model calculations reveals the sensitivity of magnetic moments to the splitting of the spin-orbit partners $\pi 0g_{9/2}$ and $\pi 0g_{7/2}$ across the proton shell closure at $Z = 50$. Doubly-magic character of $^{132}$Sn studied via electromagnetic moments of $^{133}$Sn / Rodríguez, L V (Orsay, IPN ; Heidelberg, Max Planck Inst.) ; Balabanski, D L (Bucharest, IFIN-HH) ; Bissell, M L (Manchester U.) ; Blaum, K (Heidelberg, Max Planck Inst.) ; Cheal, B (Liverpool U.) ; De Gregorio, G (INFN, Naples ; Napoli Seconda U.) ; Ekman, J (Malmo U.) ; Garcia Ruiz, R F (CERN) ; Gargano, A (INFN, Naples) ; Georgiev, G (CSNSM, Orsay) et al.
We report the first measurement of the magnetic dipole and electric quadrupole moment of the exotic nucleus $^{132}$Sn by high-resolution laser spectroscopy at ISOLDE/CERN. These, in combination with state-of-the-art shell-model calculations, demonstrate the single-particle character of the ground state of this short-lived isotope and, hence, the doubly-magic character of its immediate neighbor $^{132}$Sn.
