The MM mass range examined is 0<or=M/sup 2/<or=7.3 GeV/sup 2/ with t (the proton four momentum transfer squared) in the interval 0.2<or= mod t mod <or=0.3 GeV/sup 2/. Narrow resonances (R/sub 1/, R/sub 2/, R /sub 3/, S, T, and U) with cross sections and widths reported by the CERN missing mass group are ruled out by the data. [...]

A total of 13920 pi /sup -/p to ppn events measured in a spark chamber experiment at 9.8 GeV incident pi /sup -/ momentum are compared with data recently published on the same reaction at 18.8 GeV. The s- dependence of the total cross section, the shape of d/sup 2/ sigma /d Mdt, and the pp decay angular distributions at both energies suggest that the production process is dominated by one-pion exchange. Bubble chamber film of 10 GeV/c K/sup -/p interactions was scanned automatically by an H.P.D to look for small angle scatters in the mod t mod -range from 0.008 to 0.1 GeV/sup 2/. Combining the 1800 events so obtained with 22000 elastic events obtained from normal scanning ( mod t mod >0.06 GeV/sup 2/), the real part of the elastic scattering amplitude was found to be (+25+or-10)% of the imaginary part. Measurement of elastic scattering in antiproton-proton collisions at 52.8 GeV centre-of-mass energy / CERN-Naples-Pisa-Stony Brook Collaboration
The authors measured the differential cross section for pp and pp elastic scattering in the momentum-transfer range 0.01< mod t mod <1.0 GeV/sup 2/ at the CERN Intersecting Storage Rings with center-of-mass energy \sqrt{s}=52.8 GeV. Fitting the differential cross section with an exponential (A exp (bt)), they found b/sub pp/=13.92+or-0.59 GeV/sup -2/ for mod t mod <0.05 GeV/sup 2/, whilst for mod t mod >0.09 GeV/sup 2/, b/sub pp/=10.68+or-0.26 GeV/sup -2/.
