Benefits of diverse and interdisciplinary co-creation for HEP - a showcase
/ Castro, Cristina Bahamonde ; Dette, Karola (CERN ; Tech. U., Dortmund (main)) ; Dopke, Jens (Rutherford) ; Kagan, Michael (SLAC) ; Kaufmann, Sylvain (CERN) ; Knaepper, Ines (CERN) ; Kurikka, Joona (CERN) ; Milano, Leonardo (LBL, Berkeley) ; Muranaka, Tomoko (CERN) ; Pascu, Iulia (CERN) et al.
THE Port association organises interdisciplinary co-creational humanitarian hackathons at CERN. Combining physicists and engineers working on HEP related topics in their day job with entrepreneurs, artists, researchers, designers, humanitarian workers and other creative minds helps identifying similar material and engineering solutions for humanitarian challenges. [...]

Construction and RF Conditioning of the Cell-Coupled Drift Tube Linac (CCDTL) for Linac4 at CERN
/ Tribendis, Alexey ; Biryuchevsky, Yuri ; Kendjebulatov, Ermek ; Kruchkov, Yaroslav ; Rotov, Evgeniy ; Zhukov, Alexandr ; Cuvet, Yves (CERN) ; Dallocchio, Alessandro (CERN) ; Fuchs, Jean-Frederic (CERN) ; Gerigk, Frank (CERN) et al.
This paper reports on the construction experience of the Linac4 CCDTL, which took place in two Russian institutes in the framework of three ISTC projects in close collaboration with CERN. The tanks were constructed at VNIITF, Snezhinsk, while the drift tubes and supports were made at BINP, Novosibirsk. [...]

Enhanced Field Emission and Emitter Activation on Flat Dry-ice Cleaned Cu Samples
/ Lagotzky, Stefan (Wuppertal U.) ; Müller, Guenter (Wuppertal U.) ; Serbun, Pavel (Wuppertal U.) ; Calatroni, Sergio (CERN) ; Muranaka, Tomoko (CERN)
EDark currents caused by enhanced field emission (EFE) are considered as major origin of breakdown events limiting performance of pulsed normal conducting Cu accelerating structures. Measurements on diamond - turned, flat Cu samples (R a = 126 nm) showed first EFE before (after) dry ice cleaning (DIC) at an activation field E act = 130 (190) MV/m. [...]

Status of the Linac based positron source at Saclay
/ Rey, J -M (IRFU, Saclay) ; Coulloux, G (IRFU, Saclay) ; Debu, P (IRFU, Saclay) ; Dzitko, H (CEA DAM) ; Hardy, P (IRFU, Saclay) ; Liszkay, L (IRFU, Saclay) ; Lotrus, P (IRFU, Saclay) ; Muranaka, T (CERN) ; Noel, C (CEA DAM) ; Perez, P (IRFU, Saclay) et al.
Low energy positron beams are of major interest for fundamental science and materials science. IRFU has developed and built a slow positron source based on a compact, low energy (4.3 MeV) electron linac. [...]

RF-Breakdown kicks at the CTF3 two-beam test stand
/ Palaia, Andrea (CERN) ; Jacewicz, Marek (CERN) ; Muranaka, Tomoko (CERN) ; Ruber, Roger (CERN) ; Ziemann, V (Uppsala U.) ; Farabolini, W (IRFU, Saclay)
The measurement of the effects of RF-breakdown on the beam in CLIC prototype accelerator structures is one of the key aspects of the CLIC two-beam acceleration scheme being addressed at the Two-beam Test Stand (TBTS) at CTF3. RF-breakdown can randomly cause energy loss and transverse kicks to the beam [...]
