Production of $\phi$ -mesons in p+p, p+Pb and central Pb+Pb collisions at $E_{beam}$=158 A GeV / NA49 Collaboration
Yields and phase space distributions of $\phi-$ mesons emitted from $p$+$p$ (minimum bias trigger), $p$+Pb (at various centralities) and central Pb +Pb collisions are reported (E/sub beam/=158 A GeV). The decay $\phi$ to K/sup +/K/sup -/ was used for identification. [...]

Correlations and fluctuations in Pb+Pb collisions / NA49 Collaboration
Results on two-particle correlations, deuteron production, event anisotropy and event-by-event fluctuations of <p/sub T/> and K/ pi were obtained by the NA49 experiment in Pb+Pb collisions at 158 A.GeV beam energy. The interpretation of the measurements is discussed in light of the search for deconfinement. [...]

Deuteron production in central Pb+Pb collisions at 158A GeV / NA49 Collaboration
Experimental results on deuteron emission from central Pb+Pb collisions (E/sub beam/=158A GeV, fixed target), obtained by NA49 at the CERN SPS accelerator, are presented. The transverse mass m/sub t/ distribution was measured near mid-rapidity (2.0<y<2.5) in the range of 0<m/sub t/-m/sub 0/<0.9 GeV/c/sup 2/ (0<p/sub t/<2.0 GeV/c) for the 4% most central collisions. Hadronic Expansion Dynamics in Central Pb+Pb Collisions at 158 GeV per Nucleon / NA49 Collaboration
Two-particle correlation functions of negative hadrons over wide phase space, and transverse mass spectra of negative hadrons and deuterons near mid-rapidity have been measured in central Pb+Pb collisions at 158 GeV per nucleon by the NA49 experiment at the CERN SPS. A novel Coulomb correction procedure for the negative two-particle correlations is employed making use of the measured oppositely charged particle correlation. [...]

Hadron production in nuclear collisions from the NA49 experiment at 158 GeV/c.A / NA49 Collaboration
With its large acceptance and particle identification coverage the NA49 experiment can study hadron production in a wide range of high energy reactions. Originally aimed at examining central Pb+Pb collisions for signatures of quark-gluon plasma formation, the scope of the experiment has been enhanced with the systematic study of impact parameter and projectile size dependence, as well as the inclusion of the more elementary p+p and p+A interactions.
