The prompt and delayed $\gamma $-ray spectra of $^{187}$Tl was studied via the $^{142}$Nd($^{50}$Cr, 3p2n)$^{187}$Tl fusion-evaporation reaction at a beam energy of 255 MeV. An enhanced level scheme of $^{187}$Tl was established. [...]

We have measured the cross section of the $^{83}$Rb(p,$\gamma)^{84}$Sr radiative capture reaction in inverse kinematics using a radioactive beam of $^{83}$Rb at incident energies of 2.4 and $2.7 A$ MeV. Prior to the radioactive beam measurement, the $^{84}$Kr(p,$\gamma)^{85}$Rb radiative capture reaction was measured in inverse kinematics using a stable beam of $^{84}$Kr at an incident energy of $2.7 A$ MeV. Shape evolution in even-mass $^{98-104}$Zr isotopes via lifetime measurements using the $\gamma \gamma $-coincidence technique
/ Pasqualato, G. (IJCLab, Orsay) ; Ansari, S. (IRFU, Saclay) ; Heines, J.S. (Oslo U.) ; Modamio, V. (Oslo U.) ; Görgen, A. (Oslo U.) ; Korten, W. (IRFU, Saclay) ; Ljungvall, J. (IJCLab, Orsay ; Strasbourg, IPHC) ; Clément, E. (GANIL) ; Dudouet, J. (IP2I, Lyon) ; Lemasson, A. (GANIL) et al.
The Zirconium (Z = 40) isotopic chain has attracted interest for more than four decades. The abrupt lowering of the energy of the first $2^+$ state and the increase in the transition strength B(E2; $2_1^\rightarrow 0_1^+$ going from $^{98}$Zr to $^{100}$Zr has been the first example of "quantum phase transition" in nuclear shapes, which has few equivalents in the nuclear chart. Coulomb excitation of Zn74,76
/ ISOLDE Collaboration
The first experiment using radioactive beams post-accelerated by the HIE-ISOLDE facility has enabled to obtain a precise set of B(E2) transition probabilities in neutron-rich Zn74,76 isotopes. The resulting B(E2; 21+→01+) values are consistent with those determined in earlier REX-ISOLDE measurements. [...]

The first low-energy Coulomb-excitation measurement of the radioactive, semi-magic, two proton-hole nucleus 206Hg, was performed at CERN's recently-commissioned HIE-ISOLDE facility. Two γ rays depopulating low-lying states in 206Hg were observed. [...]

First observation of the decay of the 13/24$^+$ isomer in $^{183}$Hg and B(M2) systematics of neutron transitions across the nuclear chart

The decay of the 13/2$^+$ isomeric state in $^{183}$Hg was observed for the first time following the $\alpha$ decay of the 13/2$^+$ isomer in $^{187}$Pb produced in the $^{142}$Nd($^{50}$Cr, 2p3n) reaction. Using $\alpha - \gamma$ delayed coincidence measurements, the half-life of this isomer was measured to be 290(30) μs. [...]

Prompt and delayed γ-ray spectroscopy of the neutron-deficient, semi-magic isotope 187Pb has been performed using the recoil-decay and isomer-decay tagging techniques at the Argonne Gas-Filled Analyzer. A new 5.15(15)-μs isomeric state at only 308 keV above the spherical 3/2− ground state is identified and classified as a shape isomer. [...]

Dealing with contaminants in Coulomb excitation of radioactive beams
/ Morrison, L (Surrey U.) ; Hadynska-Klek, K (Warsaw U. (main) ; Surrey U.) ; Podolyák, Zs (Surrey U.) ; Gaffney, L P (Liverpool U. ; CERN) ; Kaya, L (Cologne U.) ; Berry, T (Surrey U.) ; Boukhari, A (Orsay) ; Brunet, M (Surrey U.) ; Canavan, R (Surrey U. ; Teddington, Natl. Phys. Lab) ; Catherall, R (CERN) et al.
Data analysis of the Coulomb excitation experiment of the exotic $^{206}$Hg nucleus, recently performed at CERN’s HIE-ISOLDE facility, needs to account for the contribution to target excitation due to the strongly-present beam contaminant $^{130}$Xe. In this paper, the contamination subtraction procedure is presented..
