Abstract | We present here preliminary results on multi-strange baryon ( Xi and Omega ) production in Au+Au collisions at the collision energy of square root s/sub NN/=62.4 GeV as measured with the STAR detector at RHIC. Two different methods have been used on the data for selecting these particles: the `classical' method and a linear discriminant analysis (LDA). We discuss the observed dynamical and chemical properties with respect to beam energy from SPS to top RHIC energies. |
