Abstract The EMC has a large amount of data taken at the CERN SPS during 1980 still to be processed through its pattern recognition program. This program is large, about 700K decimal bytes and needs on average 350 milliseconds/event of CPU time on an IBM 370/168. This program has recently been installed on a 168/E microprocessor at CERN. Experiences encountered in installing such a large program on a 168/E and in the subsequent data processing will be given. (5 refs).
