Abstract

Flavour physics represents one of the most fascinating puzzles of particle physics. I will discuss some recent developments in this field, both from a theoretical perspective and from a more phenomenological point of view. I will focus in particular on the idea of flavour non-universal gauge interactions, as a way to address the origin of the observed flavour hierarchies while allowing a minimal destabilisation of the electroweak sector. The implications of this class of models for both flavour physics experiments (analysing in particular the status of various recent anomalies) and high-energy searches will also be discussed.
