Abstract | The ATLAS collaboration has made a wide range of measurements of the underlying event and of particle production. These include underlying event using the leading track, jet or Z-boson in an event as a reference object, diffractive dijet production with rapidity gaps, exclusive photoproduction of leptons and the transverse polarisation of Lambda hyperons. Such measurements are extremely helpful in the development and tuning of models of soft particle production. |
