Abstract BDSIM, a code for particle–matter interaction studies in accelerators, is presented. BDSIM is a toolkit for simulation of particle transport in accelerator beam-lines. It provides a collection of classes representing typical accelerator components, a collection of physics processes for fast tracking, procedures of run-time geometry construction, analysis routines and tools to interface it to other particle tracking codes.
