Jane's birthday

For her first birthday, we'll have a waffle bar for dinner. I'll set the waffle iron on the kitchen counter with cups of pre-measured batter next to it so guests can make fresh waffles as they want them. Next to that, I'll set out toppings: bowls of fresh fruit, chopped nuts, and coconut; cans of whipped cream; peanut butter; and chocolate syrup. Cans and jars will have their labels covered with colorful paper to match the decorations. The island counter will have the cake in the middle.
