Lovely antique etched and applied decoration Victorian locket with turquoise painted trim around the raised piece. Locket measures a hair over 2" in Length(including loop) X 1 1/4" in Width X almost 1/2" thick. Hard to get exact thickness, but as you can see in photos the locket is very thick. The detail on this peice is really exquisite, that is what makes it soooo special! Made around the 1860's and in excellent antique condition for it's age. The gold filled is worn on back from wear, front has much more gold fill and turquoise paint is all there except for one little spot which is hard to see w/o loop.
