This is a rare and wonderful antique Victorian locket pendant with beautiful Ruby and Rose Cut Diamond adornments in stunning 14 Karat Gold. It is very rare to find antique jeweled Victorian Lockets. This beauty is set with a central flower motif design with a gorgeous natural fine red Ruby in the center and two wonderful Rose Cut Diamonds on either side. The jewels create the flowers and buds of the floral motif. The gold work in this locket is extraordinary. The piece is created with applied leaves. The leaves have beautiful brushed engraved finishes. The leaves give a three-dimensional design to the pendant. The repousse gold work is very fine. The locket opens on the reverse with a photo compartment. The special jeweled flower and leaf motif locket dances delightfully around the neck and creates a conversation piece to be passed on for generations. The locket dates to circa 1850 - 1900. The locket pendant is 1 3/8 inches (34mm) tall with the bales. The locket without the bales is 1 1/8 inches (29mm) tall. It is 1 1/2 inches (40mm) wide. The locket compartment is 28mm by 19mm.
