I don’t usually add the layer of wafer paper before adding the strips. I usually add straight to soft fondant but I forgot this while making this cake 🤦‍♀️ with soft fondant you can push the strips into the fondant and it will stick just fine but with hardened fondant like this was it makes it very difficult. BUT wafer paper stick to wafer paper better than anything else so because it was a white cake there was nothing to panic about and it worked just fine 👌🏻   I used @saracinodolci wafer paper which is 0.3mm thick and each strip is individually stuck. It doesn’t take as long as you may think, it’s pretty easy but is so effective.
