This Christmas perhaps it's time to stand up and shut down the gadgets which while oh-so-convenient actually serve to disconnect and distance us more than we know. Maybe THIS is the year you decide to put a sign on your front door advising relatives and guests to turn off their phone or just leave it in the car? Those notifications will be there when they - or you - get home. THIS holiday season let's agree to unplug and engage with people around us rather than the screens!

That’s true. It annoys me I’m with people who are on their phones, but if we’re talking too, then I can accept it.

Respect shows love. Put your cell phone away and focus on your loved one.

So true. I'm starting to think it goes to show who is really important in your life. If you can't show me some common courtesy when hanging out, maybe we shouldn't be hanging out. I'm tired if taking the backseat to someone who isn't there...just sayig
