This is Red Mare 10. In the decade of Red Mare's existence, it has become one of the few feminist literary publications in print form, and is probably one of the only, if not the only, artist-made feminist book series. Held in a few prestigious collections now, this latest release exists as both a sensual, physical entity as well as a work of print literature. The poetry for this edition is a collaboration--two voices speaking in unison. The edition itself is only 40 numbered copies. Physically, the book features a block print cover on tinted artist paper of a nice density, rice paper fly leaf, and hand sewn binding--there's either a sand glass bead or an agate bead at the knot. Truly a beautiful book for lovers of literature, of poetry, of fine art, or rare books.
