You'll want to SAVE this to refer back to later! ❤️🌾 Frenchic Fan Lauren (over at @gracieellehome) gave her vibrant orange doors a rustic revamp with a more humble oak-look finish using our classic cream shade 'Crème de la Crème' from the self priming and self sealing The Lazy Range and Frenchic 'Browning Wax'. 👇 Here's how you can get the look... 1. Clean with sugar soap, rinse and allow to dry before lightly sanding to ensure a good ‘key’ for the paint. 2. Create surface texture and over-work the paint as you apply it. Have a little more paint than usual on your brush and run it along the length of the surface (following the way wood grain would run). Steal inspiration from Frenchic Fan Ffion (over at @ty_paent21) who shows us how she lightened her pine furniture with Frenchic. 🤍🌾 After giving the unit a good sand down to remove the varnish, Ffion opted for our warmest beiges with rosey hints shade 'Stone Rosie' from The Lazy Range (mixed with water to create a light wash) to neutralise the tone of the wood, before going in with our mid-brown shade 'Moleskin' (again, mixed with water to create a paint wash) from the Chalk Wall Paint Range to get a more raw, 'nordic' colour she was after. unit. First step was to take it
outside and clean with sugar soap. Next thing was to sand
the whole unit down for 1 20 grit. I then brought it back
inside to be painted. I'm using French Eat the Lazy Range Funky
Dora I painted the Calix and then
got halfway through it and remembered I actually needed to
take two shelves out so I did that then I added the back
panel MDF took it back outside to sand I wanted to make it a
little bit taller so I added some wood to the bottom the top
and then added some MDF around that I then used some finishing
