Steph Evans on Instagram: "Removing screens from the car has been the best decision! Renee is like a new kid. Of course at first she begged for shows, but after several weeks of our efforts she asks me for books, songs, games, or toys. OR just chills in the car with nothing but the outside world to entertain her ;)

Some things I've done to make this switch 📲❌:

📖 Keep books near my garage door that I throw in my diaper bag before we leave! I keep these books rotating AND thrift new books when I see good ones! Books with flaps and interactions are best for us!

🎶 Playing music she recognizes or toddler stories I just look up on Apple Music of YouTube!

🧸 Games!!! Our favorite game is to ask her what color everything is!! Sometimes she asks us color questions back and it's adorable Baby Songs For Instagram Story, Baby Songs, Screen Free, Life Tips, Garage Door, Future House, New Kids, Apple Music, Looking Up

Parenting Pal by Sameksha on Instagram: "I've been doing this with my kids, they are 2.5 years old now, communicating properly and narrating stories ♥️

1. Talk to them as you would talk to any other adult
- narrate what you are doing
- tell them about what is going to happen throughout the day
- express your feelings and emotions

2. Speak in full sentences
- Use proper full sentences (not phrases, not words)
- Add back the words they miss out
- Repeat what they say in full & correct grammar

3. Increase their vocabulary
- Have full conversations
- Introduce one new word daily (talk a lot around that)
- Read a variety of books
- Share poems & songs
- Don't use or repeat baby words (mumum, bicit, I ceam etc...)

Lastly, GIVE THEM TIME AND CHANCE TO SPEAK
Please don't interrupt/guess Me When That One Girl Starts Talking, When That One Girl Starts Talking, Like My Story And I’ll Introduce You, Talking To Kids About Santa, Teach Toddler To Talk, How To Stop Back Talking Kids, Future Mommy, Baby Words, Feelings And Emotions
