Flannel Betty Blanket The Betty Blanket Collection was inspired by my mom, Betty. She made these blankets for many, many years. I have four children and she made at least 7 blankets for each child, one for each day of the week. These were my kid's absolute favorite blankets as they keep getting softer and softer with each wash. After she passed away, I found a ton of flannel at her house. I am not one to get rid of stuff and was inspired to learn how to make the blankets myself so I would not waste all the fabric my mom had left. These flannel baby blankets are a must have! It is a perfect gift for that special baby in your life! This blanket is double sided. Some blankets have the same fabric on both sides and some blankets have different coordinating fabrics on each side. Look at the pictures of the blanket to see if the blanket is made with one fabric or two. Placement of fabric pattern may vary. I prewash all the flannel to allow for shrinkage. I sew each blanket on my sewing machine and then I hand crochet two edges on each blanket. I like to use a yarn the matches the flannel but that means that I use a variety of yarn, so the yarn could be different on some of the blankets.
