Personally I don't think that either of the two pink tops that Ros has found would be suitable for Amadeus ladies. The uniform should be such that each individual is comfortable wearing it and that as a whole we look good. This means that the outfit is not necessarily what we would choose to wear and we must also realise that it is comparable to wearing a stage costume. Alison's original idea of a new top was that it could be worn either with or without a jacket. This puts a limit of a certain length upon the top to be worn. A lot of members have suggested that we wear whatever we think suits us personally and as our beaded jackets are reaching their sell by date I have a proposal to make. I think that we could try this out at the Selby day time concert with outfits that are suitable for daytime. If this is a success then we could go ahead and wear suitable evening clothes SO FOR SELBY ABBEY CONCERT my idea is that we wear black trousers with our own choice of a black top with either long or three quarter length sleeves. If we feel that this works then we could go ahead with this idea for evening gigs. Alison and Trevor were at a BBC Prom in Greenwich last Saturday and the ladies were all in different outfits. If you go onto the BBC Prom Greenwich Page on the web and look up that concert. Watch for 40 seconds the Prelude to the concert Petite Messe Solonelle and you will see them entering the chapel.
