Island activities preschool

This fits under the literacy curriculum because it fits under alphabetic knowledge because the letters are printed and the children must recognize them. These letters are also print knowledge. I would use this activity also as a sensory table activity where the students are choosing to pick up the shell they want which would spark conversations about their personal experiences with the beach/ocean.

Island craft

Paper plates seem to be the most ubiquitous crafting supply for younger kids. I get it. They are super versatile and inexpensive. Typically, I try to design crafts with recycled materials. I must admit however, there is a yearning that can only be satisfied by using one of these fairly common household products.
