Her three-book family saga follows the women and men of the McDonnell family in the 1840s from the clearances in Scotland (Standing Stones), Van Diemen’s Land (a penal colony) in Australia (Years of Stone), and the fur trade era in Canada (Rivers of Stone). Beth’s currently at work on what happened next to Moira in Island Wife, to be completed early 2021.

In this time of pandemic, Beth lives quietly (quarantined, masked, and socially distant) with husband, Allen. She quilts and writes – hoping to travel once again when the pandemic lifts.
