Treehugging misanthrope living in the wilds of northwest England, keen on the folk scene and live folk music (listening and attempting to play).

Trying to save the world one small step at a time (and sometimes feeling like I'm going backwards). I'm passionate about the environment, biodiversity and what the fuck we are all going to do when peak oil happens in the next four or five years. I am also deliberately childfree because it would be totally unfair to bring a child into the mess that humanity has created.

I'm enjoying the internet and nice things like perfume, books and avocadoes whilst I get the opportunity...

My glass is pretty much always half empty, but despite that I'm having a good time with close friends, learning to play music and spending a lot of evenings sat round with the whisky being very silly. This is the sort of thing I hope I will still be able to do when the shit hits the fan.
