cny

how's cny for everyone?? i'm shagged... tearing and yawning.... Last night I went ks's house for cards and mahjong... Didn't really sleep until 8+am this morning when I returned home... Think I can do with more sleep.. hee...

Enjoyed myself on the 2nd day... Went my usual visiting to grandaunt's house, grandparent's house, uncle's house... Always prefer the 2nd day cause I'm closer to my maternal side... Always have great fun chatting, playing games, joking, etc....

Yesterday was quite unique in a way.. We started talking about the days when we were young, celebrating cny in grandparents' house. Young children like us will sit around the sofa table, either feeding ourselves or being fed by parents first. After we're done, the adults will sit around the dining table and have their reunion dinner.. But now, we've all graduated and been promoted to the big tables. Many many big tables...

Then we started to recall a family photo we once took in a photo studio. We dug out the photo and then tried to rearrange pple in the same order and took a family photo! yay!! Well, there were 3 cousins missing from the photo yesterday, but no worries!! We've told them to provide us with a photo in a certain pose.. With the wonders of photoshop, the family photo will be done in no time!

Yest was also fun cause I got to chat with one cousin when I followed him home since he stayed near ks. Even met him for supper later... Been like a brother to me.. Always dote him from time to time. Last time when his army camp was nearby, he stayed in my house for abt a month cause it was too troublesome for him to go home every night. After supper, I brought him up to have a look at the "gambling den". Haha!! I DID IT!! Friends finally thought that he's my bf.. Once brought him out to join me and frens for fireworks. But pple dun believe when I said he's my bf.. This time it works! muahahahaha....

I guess most of the cny celebrations is almost over... next year then...

union square

went to union square on friday. It's a salsa club at Amara hotel. Friday's ladies night!! So, free entry, free drinks. Any other gals interested? Dunno how to dance nmind lah.. Can teach you a bit. Free drinks anyway. It's not very smoky...

Anyway, went there from 8+pm to 2.30am. Didn't dance a lot cause the group of us only know THAT many moves. Not like those experts there with so many to play with. Look so cool.. Some of the cool moves we saw were.... swing the gal where her butt sweeps the floor. Gal straight and supported all the way near the floor. Gal turn 8 rounds continuously ( i turn 2, i already blur). So so... anyway, it's still fun.. Yesterday, there was a live band at abt 1am. There were these 4 gals. Maybe spanish? They were playing and singing salsa/merengue/bachatta songs... Live playing really makes a difference!! Really makes u wanna dance...

That night, I got rejected by this guy so many times.. sob sob... Was trying to get everyone to go down to the dance floor at least once to try. I also dun really dare to dance among the experts, but after a while, decided to heck care.... I think I sat there for 1 hour before i started dancing. Anyway, I was trying to get this guy to dance.. Think I tried for abt 2 hours before he decided to.. Maybe, it's with the help of the live band.. hahaha.. Anyway, all danced!! yay!!! I danced at union square!!

Came back at 5am... shagged... Even after one day, I still feel shagged..

Hope everyone had lots of fun! Collected lots of angpao?? I went my usual visiting at paternal side.. But this time, we left pretty early cause I started having gastric and a terrible headache at my uncle's house... BUT, when I returned home , I realized that my headache was almost gone.. Think it was the noise at my uncle's house that made a slight headache really really really bad. My cousins and aunties have amazingly LOUD voices... Don't believe ah? got chance let u hear... hahaha

Gala nite

Just came back from my division's anniversary dinner a.k.a. gala nite.... This year's theme is 'Back to the 60s'. Well, I didn't dress up for it. Just had a pair of retro earrings and hairband. But my dept coordinated but sticking round stickers all over our clothes.. hahahaha... Retro mah.. polka dots!

Ok lah.. it's not bad... the MC is quite good. Got pretty sporting pple around too. I was cheering a lot just for the fun of it...

And I won the 20th prize in the lucky draw... Err.. Don't really drink much coffee.. Think it'll end up in my office as a shared item..

i like public holidays.... who doesn't? hee... especially those working.. It's a break from heaven!!

Well, yesterday i had something to do, given from dept head, that's given from director... and I had to complete it by the end of day so that dept head can show on director on wed.. Anyway it's just compilation.. had to do overtime on pub hol eve. Sad rite? ah well... everything well other than the fact that I stayed in office till 8. Was late meeting fren... LATE

today is good... Woke up at my own timing. Sadly, it was 9am. Seems like I can't sleep till too late nowadays... Laze around and went to ikea with mom. SUPER CROWDED AH!!! luckily i survived it... Went walk walk.. Nothing much done but feels good... Came home, watched tv. And it seems like time is passing slowly. It's only 9.30pm! hee... Felt like it's already 11pm

There should be more public holidays!

yest i was at settler's cafe with my dance frens.. and we heard loud noises outside.. went out and saw fireworks!!! Quite pretty! and quite long. The only thing was that a building was partially blocking the view. But still good! Didn't have to squeeze with the crowd at Chinatown. By the way, that was fireworks for the opening ceremony of chinatown lighting.

2nd time i went to xen bar. Was practising salsa. Then a few of us tried to be innovative and experiment with some steps that we haven't learnt in class yet... Quite fun ah... At least looks more fanciful...

and i got a pair of dance shoes!! It's pink and shiny silver! Well, some pple will go 'wah, so on ah. got dance shoes'. But it only costs $32.90 from OG. About the same price at normal shoes. So, might as well get something i can turn easily with! =)
