Thankfully we were spared an awful sequel that might have destroyed our perception of this wonderful classic.

My first published art (and writing) were in a book entitled “Letters to E.T.” when I was 13-years-old. I received a check for $1 from Putnam Publishing Group. Still my favorite movie. Inspired by Carlo Rambaldi.

Good character design, both physically and mentally, has to make sense with the world around them. For a character to not add up with their surroundings without reason is cause enough to destroy the suspension of disbelief. If a character's reactions to the world around are not at least somewhat understandable then again, the suspension of disbelief will be ruined.
